PCHAS offers a variety of residential and community programs to empower churches to support families. Presbyterian Children’s Homes and Services combines data-driven program design and expertly trained staff with a philosophy of care that keeps everyone focused on the goals and strengths of each child and their family.

Alicia Mirabelli, LCSW

Alicia Mirabelli, one of the Presbyterian Children’s Home and Service (PCHAS) counselors at the Cypress office will lead an adult/parent course entitled “Social Media and Your Mental Health.” The program includes: Identifying how social media affects children and their mental health, how to help children identify and manage their emotions related to social media, and knowing when and what to do when your child’s emotions need further assessment.

Alicia Mirabelli, LCSW is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 27 years of experience supporting children, adolescents, and families. She earned her Master of Social Work degree in 1999 and has been an LCSW since 2008. Alicia has worked extensively in school-based settings, community programs, and international contexts, providing culturally responsive and developmentally informed care.

In addition to her clinical work, Alicia is a certified Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) Instructor, equipping professionals and families with skills to safely de-escalate challenging situations and support emotional regulation. Her approach is grounded in trauma-informed, strengths-based practice, with a strong emphasis on collaboration and empowerment.

Alicia currently serves as a Therapist at The Counseling Center at PCHAS, a nonprofit organization, where she is dedicated to helping clients build resilience, improve coping skills, and foster meaningful connections within their families and communities.
