About Spring Branch Presbyterian Academy

Our history of quality childcare and preschool education

Daycare Houston

After careful deliberation, preparation and prayer, Spring Branch Presbyterian Church established the Academy in 1971 to meet the community’s need for quality childcare and preschool education. To this day the Academy continues to enjoy a fine reputation for being a wonderful place for children to grown and learn. Under the full sponsorship and authority of Spring Branch Presbyterian Church, we strive to operate under the policies and guidelines of the church and its preschool ministry.

The environment within the Spring Branch Presbyterian Academy has been designed to provide a safe, loving and nurturing environment where children learn through play. Our program is based upon principles of growth and development, which provide guidelines for age-appropriate activities suited to the needs and abilities of the individual child.

OUR MISSION
Care for children in an environment where they can learn and grow physically, intellectually, emotionally, socially and spiritually
Touch lives with the love of Jesus Christ and His teachings
Build the family through ministry

Each member of our church-appointed ministry team of dedicated volunteers is an active church member that has a vested interest in your child’s development. They are supervised by the Academy Director, Renee Henry, who is a strong Christian leader with years of experience in early child development, business and human resource management. The team provides collective input and guidance to the board when they meet each and every monthly to create, develop and implement programs, procedures and policies for the Academy.

The Academy is a non-profit childcare and preschool educational organization. Monthly tuition is paid for by parents, their employers or other applicable agencies.

Spring Branch Presbyterian Academy is licensed by the Texas Department of Protective and Regulatory Services. We undergo regular inspections by this agency and by the Harris County Health Department and the local fire marshal.
